Release and Express Assumption of Risk for Technical Diving
- Tec Deep
Diver Statement of Understanding and Learning Agreement
- Medical
Statement. Prior to
Training Dive Two, you must have a physician's approval and
signature on the Medical Statement. If you received a physician's
approval on a Medical Statement for another course within the last
year and have no medical condition change, and if you have that
Medical Statement on file, then you do not need to see a physician
again.
- You must carry
diver medical insurance such as the DAN or PADI Diver
Protection Program, Platinum or other dive insurance that provides
coverage for medical care following a dive accident, including
recompression and transportation, and does not exclude coverage due
to using nitrox, trimix or deep tec diving to depths of 265 feet.

The courses consist of three areas:
- Knowledge
Development including
readings from the manual, completing knowledge reviews and
successfully completing exams. You must complete Knowledge
Development skills in sequence prior to the corresponding Practical
Applications and Training Dives.
- Practical
Applications providing
hands-on practice before actually applying concepts of dive planning
and diving including pre-dive preparation. These applications may
be assigned as independent or group projects.
- Training
Dives demonstrating performance standards. You must complete all
Training Dives in order, and meet all performance requirements for
each Training Dive prior to progressing to the next Training Dive
and perform all skills fluidly, with little difficulty in a manner
that demonstrates minimal or no stress.
